NOSFERATU 1922

A startling discovery

Nosferatu stars Max Schreck as Count Graf Orlok. Released in 1922 it follows the same story line as Bram Stokers novel Dracula. Silent film Schreck's vampire however, isn't charming like Bela Lugosi's Count Dracula. A very creepy atmospheric silent chiller. Well worth watching.

Phantom of the Opera was probably Lon Chaney Sr.'s most disturbing role as Erik, the disfigured menance of The Paris Opera House. Released in 1925 by Universal Pictures. The famous unmasking scene, where his hideous face is revealed, terrified audiences in 1925. There were even reports of people fainting at the sight of the unmasked phantom.
